Hollamby has final say
Amy Hollamby made the trip north worthwhile taking victory in Tinwald Cycling Clubs, 45km handicap event around the Christies Road block on Sunday.
Hollamby’s efforts earned her the Allan Wylie Memorial Cup.
Hollamby and her co-markers worked hard finding the front inside the last of five 9km laps, keeping the pace high ensuring the chasing marks did not catch them.
In the three up charge to the line Hollamby had to much gas seeing of the strong challenges from second place getter Dave Knight and Monique Brake who secured the final podium spot.
Alex Hooper led the chasing bunch in to secure fourth place from Kris Bowditch and Tony Ward.
Kyle Gray claimed fastest time honours, riding the distance in 58.57.
Noah Hollamby and Alex Hooper recorded second and third time respectively.
The juniors and division 2 contested an 18km event.
Casey Brake backed up for a solid of weekend track racing to take a hard fought victory.
Kaidyn Broomhall produced a top effort to secure second place and fastest time honours, riding the course in 29.25.
Blake Broomhall continued his good form with a solid ride to take third place.
Jack Hooper and Nic Dalley were right in the contest, rounding out the top five.
Eamon Hooper had the final say in division 2 taking the win from Teressa Hooper and Stacey Hooper.
Next weekend the Club will travel to Methven to contest a 45km handicap event.
