Irish Eyes are Smiling at Lake Coleridge

Irishman Coleman Burke was all smiles after recording victory in Tinwald Cycling Club’s, Jasama Farm, 45km handicap event on the picturesque Lake Coleridge course on Sunday.

Burke, who had shown the week before he was riding into good form left nothing to chance riding off the front of his mark and finding the lead on the return journey to the finish line.

He convincingly won, with Dave Sullivan pulling out a solid effort on his favoured course to secure the second place spoils.

Ron Pithie also showed a clean set of heels to take the final podium position.

Brendon Davidson dug deep to keep the chasing riders at bay to secure fourth with John Harcourt and Dean Rattray rounding out the top six.

Scratch rider Hamish McDonald took fastest time honours covering the undulating course in 61.27 with Sam Letham and Craig Domigan securing second and third time.

The juniors and division 2 contested a 14km handicap event.

Lawrence Pithie, riding off the scratch mark, stormed thought the field to take line and fastest time honours covering the distance in 22.42.

Abe O’Donnell was hot on his tail securing second place.

Oliver Davidson continued his good form with a hard fought third place.

Connor Leov, Bella Roulston and Ethan Titheridge filled the top half dozen spots.

First time starter, Debbie Skinner took the major honours in division 2 with the ever consistent Hilary Singlewood claiming second place from Kerry Clough, who also recorded the fastest time.

Next week the Club heads to Hinds to contest a 50km handicap event.
