Hello ..... I arrived in America on the 10thof May. I flew into San Fransisco then me and the team got the rental cars and headed up to our base in Monteray. We spent two nights in Monteray then headed to our very first race in Oregon. We have just competed in a race in Oregon. The race is called the Mt Hood classic a 5 day cycle race. We were based in The Dalles for our time in Oregon. The tour started with a prologue. In the prologue I was placed 63rd out of 84. And the best result of the team was Ali Shanks getting a 2nd place.

Day 2. The course was 1.3 mile loop with 135 feet of climbing per lap. The race did not go very well. I was at the back of the bunch on the start line. That is were I stayed during the race. I tried to move up in the bunch but was unable to. Therefore, about 20mins into the race I was out the back fighting to get onto the main bunch. After a long time of trying, I was unable to and was pulled out (along with a lot of others), and give a time so I was able to race the next day.

Day 3. This was an extremely challenging stage 65 miles . We had to go up a climb hard 10km climb 4 TIMES. The first time up the climb I felt good and stayed with the bunch. The second time up was a different story and I was dropped from the bunch about half way up the climb. I finished the race but I was extremely exhausted. It is hard to explain just how hard I had blown but I have never been so drained at the end of the race. I did not make the time cut and was not able to start the next stages or was unable to finish the tour (this day 10 riders DNF) .

I have my next race on Sunday 24: Mt. Hamilton Classic and Monday - 25: San Jose Memorial Day Criterium - and I will let you all know how I go you can look up the results if you want to
